The Old Testament book of Joshua documents the story of Israel’s invasion, conquest and division of the Promised Land. However, it is far more than a mere historical account. Joshua shows God working out his purposes in the gritty reality of real life situations. For believers today, Joshua can bolster our faith and inspire us to live as God’s people who embrace all God has provided for us in Jesus.  We can truly trust a God who fulfills His covenant promises. As Joshua 21:45 says “Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.
