WHY WE GIVE

We give out of love for God and people. We give because it pleases God. We give because it develops our character.

Along with being cheerful, God invites us to be generous. It is important to give cheerfully and generously back to God for his purposes and to those who are in need. After all, all our gifts, what we consider “our own,” have graciously been given to us by a generous God and belong fully to him.

“But just as you excel in everything– in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”
