After his resurrection, Jesus appeared to his followers and commissioned them: “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you” (John 20:21). More than an obligation or duty of the Christian life, Jesus has given us an amazing opportunity to live out His purposes in our world. We are sent to love, to bless, to heal, and to share the good news of Jesus with a world that desperately needs it. In this sermon series, we are going to consider what it looks like for us to embrace this opportunity to partner with God and become a part of other people’s transformational journey into a life with God. As we live this way of life together, we will also grow in faith, hope, and joy as we experience God’s good purposes in our lives.
