Angel Tree

Project Angel Tree helps to make Christmas a little bit better for children whose parent(s) are incarcerated by letting them know that they haven’t been forgotten and sharing with them the love of Jesus Christ.

Bread & Roses
Lawrence, Massachusetts
Once a month we prepare a hot meal for 200 people right here in our own Free Church kitchen and deliver it to this Lawrence soup kitchen. Their guests are homeless or just having a hard time making ends meet. These are often families struggling at the end of the month. Bread & Roses values the diginity of each person who comes there. They receive more that just a meal, they are given encouragement as well.

Jews for Jesus New England and Beyond
Oded and Bimini Cohen,Boston
Oded, a native-born Israeli, came to faith through Jews for Jesus, which seeks to make the messiahship of Jesus an unavoidable issue to Jewish people worldwide. The Cohens have been witnessing to Jewish people in New England since 2002. They spend significant time engaging people in conversations about Jesus, and the heart of their ministry is one on one Bible studies. They also travel to help with focused campaigns in other cities with large Jewish populations.

- Join us as volunteers for local and national evangelistic outreaches; we have trained adults, teens, and youth groups
- We are here as a resource for you– to assist you with materials and wisdom as to how to reach out to your Jewish friends and neighbors; we are also available to personally meet them for coffee and share how a native Israeli came to America to find financial success and instead found a Chinese-American wife and the God of his ancestors!

Lazarus House & Daybreak Shelter

Since January 2005 men from FCC have been serving a weekly hot breakfast and giving a devotional at Lazarus house, which helps people rebuild their families and move beyond poverty, out of crisis and into the mainstream. In February 2006 we added a weekly breakfast at Daybreak Shelter which cares for homeless men and women with addictions or mental health diagnoses.

Mission to the Americas
Paul Bothwell – Boston, Massachusetts
Missions to the Americas serves in North and Central America. Working in greater Boston and eastern New England, Paul’s expertise includes urban church planning, training ministry teams for new churches, and coaching the planting process as each church grows. In the last few years he has aided the launch of 6 new Portuguese speaking churches. Most new churches are the result of existing churches working together to outreach into their surrounding communities. Paul assists the churches in their ventures.

The Pregnancy Care Center is a Christ-centered ministry offering life-affirming services designed to empower women and men in making informed choices about unexpected pregnancy, sexual integrity and recovery from post abortion trauma. They have centers located in Haverhill and Amesbury serving the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.

Set Free Prison Ministry
Jose Matos – New England
Jose Matos has been serving God ever since his release from prison 17 years ago. He was formerly a chaplain for the state of Massachusetts. Reverend Matos trains volunteers, puts Bible studies together for inmates, and leads seminars across the state. He also sees part of his ministry as being preventative, talking to kids at Good News Camps.

Young Life
John Grothjan – Hamilton, Massachusetts
Young Life has been called a Christian club for non-Christian kids, creating a fun and safe environment where kids can hear about Christ. John is the North Shore area director, working with senior high and middle school kids in Hamilton-Wenham, Masconomet, Beverly and Marblehead.
