Get Connected by Serving
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
Attending a new church can be an overwhelming endeavor. The FCC Connecting Ministries Team is a group of faithful volunteers who welcome and serve all who enter our doors. We help people feel comfortable and part of our community by connecting them to the individual or group that will meet their needs.
On Sundays you will encounter our volunteers in the Sanctuary as ushers, in the Rotunda serving coffee and at the Welcome Desk where you can pick up informational material to take home with you and get your immediate questions answered. At home, you may receive a telephone call in response to the tear off sheet you filled out and placed in the collection plate on Sunday. Several times a year, we host Get Acquainted events so that newcomers can meet regular attendees. We also offer The Network course to help people determine what their spiritual gifts are.
Whatever your needs, concerns or questions, FCC’s Connecting Ministries is willing and able to help.
Do you feel called to serve alongside us? Connecting Ministries is continuing to build its team. We need people to usher, serve coffee, work at the Welcome Desk, set up communion, and/or become part of our hospitality team that hosts special events. It is a great first step in getting to know people. On the job training!
