Senior Adult Ministries
Senior Adult Ministries at Free Christian Church is two-fold. We offer spiritual support and fellowship to senior adults from FCC and the community through the Senior Link and New Life Ministries. Through our Parish Partners and Kaleo Fellowship Ministries we can also meet the spiritual needs of homebound seniors and senior adults living in nursing homes and care facilities. Connecting With God And Each Other
This group is for senior men and women who would like to get together for Christian fellowship and Bible study. The group meets every Friday morning from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the lower hall of Free Christian Church. Each week the group gathers for refreshments, prayer and Bible study.

Parish Partners
Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God.

Parish Partners is the senior adult outreach ministry at Free Christian Church. The ministry consists of men, women and children who want to share God’s love with senior adults from our congregation, nursing home residents and seniors within the community who are not experiencing what it is to be part of God’s family.
Bedside Ministry - These compassionate people love the elderly and have had some experience in nursing homes. There are so many lonely people in our area nursing homes that need to hear that Jesus loves them and cares for them, especially at this time in their lives. This area of ministry involves making regular visits with nursing home residents in order to pray with them and share scripture. Time commitment varies but residents so appreciate whatever time people give. Want to put a smile on someone’s face – give it a try!
Gift Making - A once a month craft making session in which team members make simple gifts for the residents of The Heritage, Marland Place, Academy Manor and Wingate Nursing Homes which are given out by the Worship Teams as part of their regular monthly visits. This team meets in the lower hall of the church the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. There is no cost for the participant. Come one come all – many hands make light work.
Nursing Home Worship - Currently there are six teams of people from Free Christian Church who bring regular monthly worship services to Ashland Farms, Sutton Hill, Marland Place, Academy Manor and Wingate Nursing Homes in Andover. These teams share the message of Jesus Christ with residents through music, scripture readings, devotionals and fellowship. This is a wonderful way for families to serve the Lord together and children are especially encouraged to participate in this fun ministry. Time commitment is 1½ hours per month.
Transportation -This team provides transportation to and from Sunday morning worship services for our senior church members who do not drive. Many of our parish members do not attend church because they no longer drive. The senior member of the congregation is paired up with another member of the congregation who is willing to drive their partner to and from weekly worship services. Team members also drive seniors to and from the church on the last Saturday of the month for the “New Life Luncheons” and are available to provide rides to/from doctors appointments.
Visiting Ministry - There are many senior members of our congregation who are no longer in contact with Free Christian Church because of their advanced age and inability to go out. Some are living in their own homes while many are living in assisted living facilities or nursing homes. Parish Partners Ministry Visiting Team members make weekly visits or phone calls to a home bound senior. A match is made between a parish member and a senior who would like a special friend. Time commitment is one hour per week. The need is so great and with our population getting older there is no end to the number of people who need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.

Kaleo Fellowship
Kaleo is Greek meaning “to call.” This group contacts those in our congregation who need encouragement through home visits, phone calls and cards.
